Farewell to Victoria University Polytechnic Nursing Students
On the 20th of October 2022, we farewelled the Diploma of Nursing Students from St Albans, Sunshine and Werribee Campuses of Victoria University Polytechnic.
The students started studying alone at the peak of the COVID-19 period via Zoom and in isolation in February 2021.
As soon as they were able to come back into the classroom, they started in small and then in larger groups. Being face-to-face enabled students to come to know each other better and develop strong friendships. It was wonderful that in the last year of the course, they were able to finish together as a group of close friends.
Best wishes to all of them in their new career. There are many opportunities waiting for them, and they are ready.
Thank you to Kate Hetherington from the Epworth Early Years Program Group Manager, Michelle Cutts and Rebecca Barro from the Nursing and Midwifery Association ANMF, Sharon Blair from HESTA, Yvonne Russell the Executive Director of the College of Health and Community at Victoria University Polytechnic and Starr Reyes, Victoria University Polytechnic Alumni Relations Coordinator who presented during this special event.
Also, thank you to the teachers who made the day possible.
Congratulations to Muhammad Hassan Khalil (Sunshine Campus) who was awarded the ANMF Student Nurse Award.
