The Value of Research

As an educator and researcher, I believe that the most interesting aspect of research is curiosity and the desire to acquire knowledge.

In qualitative research in particular, it is the excitement of knowing where you are starting, having a sense of where you may be going, but not being really sure of where you are going to end up.

Research, no matter how minor, provides exciting information on the phenomena that surround us and a point from where new knowledge can grow.

Research is a smaller path leading to further exploration.
